OBITUARY
MT. VISION-RONALD HARMON PICKETT; Ronald Harmon Pickett, 49 passed away July 29, 2010 at the Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown. He was born in 1961 in Delhi, the son of Wilfred Roger Pickett and Charlene (Quackenbush) Pickett. He married Kerrie Moore on November 16, 1985 at the Elm Park Methodist Church in Oneonta. He worked as a sawyer for the Green Lumber Co of Davenport and in his younger years had worked on several dairy farms in the area. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing poker, grilling and playing with his dog. He was very excited about the pending arrival of his first grandson. He is survived by his wife Kerrie of Mt. Vision, his daughters, Lacey Janitz and husband Joseph of Oneonta, Tiffany Pickett and companion Bruce Holcomb of Davenport, his son, Roger Pickett of Oneonta, his brother Donald Pickett and wife Carol of Bloomville and a sister Tina Willett and husband Thomas of Franklin as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Steven Pickett. There will be no calling hours and a memorial gathering will be held at the Bloomville Fire Station on Sunday at 1:00pm
A brief memorial service will be held during the gathering. Friends are asked to consider donations to “The American Lung Assn. of New York State” Special gifts office, 3 Winners Circle, Ste. 300, Albany, NY 12205 in his memory. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.johnstonfh.com
