Our precious mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, 84 passed away peacefully on Friday July 30, 2010 at Country Square Adult Foster Care Home surrounded by her family and wonderful caregivers. Dorothy was always known for her outgoing and warm personality, wonderful sense of humor, kind and empathetic nature, beautiful smile, and her strong faith in the Holy Spirit. Her ability to love was abundant. These endearing qualities never faded even while she endured Alzheimer’s disease/ dementia for the past year. Dorothy was born in Unionville Michigan to the late Leo (Anna) Ainsworth on December 4, 1926. She married Victor Bissonnette who predeceased her in death in 1987. Dorothy worked at Prestolite and retired to pursue of life in farming and raising her family. While farming Dorothy worked for the Pinconning Area Schools as a special education school bus driver. She had a great love for the special education children and that love was returned to her by the children. She was a youth group leader for many years at the Wesleyan church in Pinconning. She also immensely enjoyed her wonderful friends at the Canteen in Bay City and was their lead singer and entertainer for many years. God blessed us for many years to have the honor of having her in our lives.



Surviving are her children Gary Pake of Pinconning, James Bouckaert & friend Theresa of Pinconning, Diana (Timothy) Stalker of Pinconning. Many grandchildren , great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A brother Dutch (Clarence) Ainsworth and a brother-in-law Chloris” Fritz” Pomeroy . Dorothy had many happy times with all of them. She joins her late husband, beloved sons Dennis and John Pake, and one grandchild, a brother and 3 sisters along with many in heaven.



Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday August 3, 2010 at Pinconning United Methodist Church at 11: 00 am with Chaplin Judy Wilcox presiding. Friends may call Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home on Monday August 2, from 1pm to 8pm . Dorothy will lie in state at the church form 10am till time of service.
